MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BARBADOS!

Hello,

First of all, Merry Christmas from the Walshes!

Yesterday we went to a beautiful cove called Sharkey Bay where the water was still and crystal clear. We spent lots of time swimming around and sun bathing.

In the evening we went to St Lawrence gap and had cocktails whilst the sun went down. We then walked along and had a gorgeous meal in a beautiful little resturant.

This morning we had a little bit of Christmas where we opened presents and had Christmas songs from YouTube on whilst we had pancakes for breakfast! We then went down to our little beach and paddled in the water. It has been really hot today but perfect for topping up our tans! This afternoon we went to Crane Beach and rented some sun loungers and did a bit more relaxing and swimming in the sea.

After a fantastic Christmas day that we definitely won't forget we are now settling down to a quiet night in with rum punch (fruit punch for Euan), tagliatelle and a few sweet treats.

Thanks again for your comments and hope you've all had a wonderful day!

  1. We had a very quiet and relaxing Christmas day here but your call this morning made it really special and although we miss you at least you seemed to be a little closer for a few minutes. Another memorable day for you! - how fortunate you are, beautiful beaches, plenty of sunshine good food and you still got Christmas presents! Have a great day tomorrow - looking forward to your next post. Lots of love to all of you, Grandma and Grandpa xxxx

  2. Well it's Boxing Day here now and Grandad has just gone to bed. Merry Christmas as it still is with you in Barbados! Lovely to hear from you today - what a treat a post and a phone call today. Your beaches and restaurants sound so lovely - so does the rum punch! We've had a lovely day with Christmas meals on wheels courtesy of U Richard. Great excitement opening presents - with champers of course. Loved yours thank you. Going to look through our presents again tomorrow when things are a bit quieter! Well, think I'm ready for bed now - don't think I shall be reading for long! Tell Mum things are back to normal now and I'm having porridge in the morning and reading my book at night - Grandad's well and truly on the mend! Happy Christmas/Boxing Day to Grandma and Grandpa too. Looking forward to hearing about tomorrow's activities - or non activities! Lots of love N & G xxxx
