Barbados - Post 7

Hello,

This morning we went to our little beach again. We all read and then Euan and I played bat and ball. Very chilled and relaxing start to the day!

This afternoon we went on a bit of a tour of the island. We went to a lighthouse where we were greeted by a VERY VERY friendly man. He gave Mum and I flowers and showed Dad and Euan a special Bajan handshake. It was quite overwhelming but lovely at the same time!

We then went to a little fishing pier. We didn't partake this time but we watched a man catch a little one!

After that we drove to a bar to watch the sunset - one of our favourite things. It was so beautiful (a bit like Ethnik bar in Greece) and overlooked the sea near to a popular place for surfers.

Now relaxing with a rum punch and meal in. Thank you for the comments - I really do appreciate them!

  1. How do you pack so much in a day? ! All sounds so lovely apart from that "friendly" man - he sounds a bit scary - glad you were all together! It's hard to imagine your lovely weather when it's so cold here. We have another bright, sunny day but oh so cold and I've only been to the bins and washing line! Rum punch seems to be the favourite holiday drink. Should I get out my bottle that I've had for 30 plus years? It's used every year to set the Christmas pud alight. U Richard didn't use it this year and used brandy instead and it didn't work nearly so well! All the McCabes over later today to celebrate Charlotte's 7th birthday. They are going swimming first at the Spectrum - no match for Barbados! Have another great day - looking forward to it. Lots of love to you all N & G xxxx

  2. Another lovely day filled with interesting and memorable moments, you will have so many stories to tell when you get home
We have a beautiful sunny day here today too but feeling very chilly! I hope you have got some thermals handy for your return, there was a little snow on Boxing day but I think there may have been more around your village. You will certainly need a rum punch! Have a great day - looking forward to reading about it. Lots of love, Grandma and Grandpa xxxx
