Barbados - Post 6

Hello,

We got back quite late last night so didn't get chance to do the blog.

In the morning we went Dad, Euan and I went back to Sharkey Hole whilst Mum stayed at the villa and did a little bit of work. We messed around in the sea playing catch and 'Piggy in the Middle' which was lots of fun! We they played on the beach to dry off and made our way back.

After a spot of lunch at a place called Cutters we went to Harrison's Cave. This is one of the main attractions on the island. You go on a guided tour on a train and which takes you down into the beautiful caves. I've just included a picture from the internet so you can see what it was like:

It was incredibly beautiful and an amazing experience!

We then went to a boardwalk by the sea. Euan and I spotted a Haagen Dazs shop so of course we went in! I had cookie dough and chocolate ice-cream with oreos and chocolate drops on top! VERY tasty! We then had a drink a beautiful bar after watching the sun set. Mum had a Margarita and I had a Virgin Pina Colada whilst Dad had a beer and Euan a vanilla milkshake! As it was a Friday we went to Ostins again which is a huge fish fry. the music is very loud and everybody is dancing and eating. I had (Mahi Mahi) Dolphin and chips! It was brilliant but Euan managed to fall asleep as the table so after eating and enjoying some of the dancing we headed back!

We had a brilliant, very busy day! Thanks again for your comments!

  1. I think this deserves a WOW!!! No surprise at all that you didn't manage to do the blog - there aren't enough hours in a day for what you fit in. I would have used the words VERY CHOCOLATEY for that ice cream. The stalagmites and stalactites are amazing we went to Cheddar Gorge many years ago and saw them there. You will never be able to walk into a chip shop again without thinking about Dolphin and chips! Thank you for sharing another brilliant day with us - it just seems to get better all the time, can barely wait to see all the photos when you are able to show them. Keep having a wonderful time. Lots of love to all, Grandma and Grandpa xxxx

  2. Sorry Nanny and Grandad almost forgot to send our best wishes for the Christmas season you must be so happy now that Grandad is getting stronger, he gave us all a bit of a scare. Thank you for your good wishes. Aren't we lucky getting daily instalments on such a brilliant holiday -makes you feel like you are a part of it. Love to both of you, Grandma and Grandpa xx

  3. What another lovely day. It all sounds like a really happy holiday. Harrison's cave looks fantastic - thanks for the pic. Are you tiring Euan out Neve?! You may not want to come back as there's been snow in parts of the country including Staffordshire! Hope you've got your thermals to put on at the airport! We haven't had any yet but I'm stocked up in case we do! Charlotte's birthday tomorrow and they are coming over for guess what - Grandad's favourite - Charlotte's special request. She even asked if she could have it on Christmas Day! I popped into Guildford today and bought a nice warm coat in the sale - no coats needed where you are! Grandad's doing well - he even emptied the dishwasher whilst I was out! Have another lovely day - what's next? You seem to fit so much in a day - looking forward to hearing about it. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for their good wishes. Lots of love to you all xxxx
