Today we decided to go cycling but we don't have any bikes here so we had to hire some. They only had one bike so Mum and Dad asked whether they had anything else we could ride. The woman found us a tandem bike and recumbent so we took them. It was hilarious but we did get some funny looks. We all had a go on everything, the most fun being the recumbent and the hardest the tandem. It was so much fun and turned an ordinary bike ride into a fantastic day.

Then it wasn't late enough for us to go home so we decided to go and find a beach where we could have a swim in the lake. We didn't quite find what we were looking for but we made do with it. There were lots of rich people on their boats floating around in the water so we didn't really fit in! It was worth it though just to see the look on their faces.

I wonder what would have happened if you had been offered a penny farthing or a unicycle, my guess is you would have tried those too. It all adds to the fun - those people floating around on their boats don't know what they are missing. Another great day - love the pictures. ReplyDeleteYet another fun filled day! Loved the photos - what a happy, healthy family you look. I think that hire place probably had bikes but thought you were a family to try anything - and they were right! I tried a tandem once in my youth - can you imagine?! Glad you kept up the standard by swimming where the posh people were "boating" - I wonder who had more fun?! Can't imagine what you are going to do next but will enjoy hearing about it.
ReplyDeleteU Richard and A Gaelle are having fun too. Being packed up today - moving back to their house tomorrow and going to France for their hols on Wednesday. Their new kitchen not ready for use so having to put some things in storage! They have already packed the car ready for hols. We are just staying home!
