Today we went back to Quebec as we wanted to go to the parliament of Quebec Provence which is like a state. We had an English guided tour which was really good and he told us lots of interesting facts. For example Jaques-Cartier, which is the name of the lake and national park we have been going to, "found" Canada. After that we went for lunch in Old Quebec in a lovely restaurant where the waiter was really friendly. It was called Le Cochon Dingue which means The Mad Pig (that is why there is a pig in the picture of us at the restaurant). Then we went souvenir shopping as it is one of our last days in Canada :( . I got a magnet and Euan got a stone bird and a pin. We had a lovely day and we had the camera so here are some pictures:
Wasn't expecting another update before going to bed - what a nice surprise. Sounds and looks like another great day without any activities?! Parliament looks an impressive building. Hope that was the only bear you saw on your travels! Nice looking restaurant too but has someone left some chocolate dessert - surely not! ReplyDeleteThe guided tour was a good idea, I would have loved that. I looked up Jacques Cartier earlier - when you first arrived in Quebec because that is something I enjoy doing, so I have gleaned a little knowledge from your travels too. I think the chocolate dessert has been left for the mad pig in case he turned nasty! You all look great, I agree with Nanny - the holiday has really done you good. Enjoy what's left of it.
