After a long day yesterday I didn't get the chance to blog!
On the train, we were in a little "room" of six (basically six seats in a little compartment) which was lovely. We met a really nice couple who were very interesting so we had lots to talk about and stories to share. Euan and I also managed to catch up on a couple of hours sleep (see pictures!) so the journey didn't seem to take too long.
We then met Mum at the airport after playing cards whilst we were waiting for her.
Finally, we arrived at the house which is lovely (it even has a swimming pool) and had some dinner.
Today we were very tired so actually spent the day at the house. Well - we did venture out to the supermarket so we could get some food but that was all! We're now feeling much more ready for some more adventures in our holiday!
Thanks again for the comments. Love Neve xx
(P.S. Going to do a picture post as well as now mum has brought her lap top we can upload pictures from the camera of the days that we didn't have dad's phone x)
So glad you are having/had a rest - I'm exhausted reading about your travels! Glad you have Mum back and the four of you can enjoy the rest of your holidays together. The house (and swimming pool!) sound great - plenty of opportunity to relax! Loved the photos - you both look like very seasoned travellers. Look forward to hearing about tomorrow's adventures when you have time. I haven't anything to report as only went into Guildford today. Park and Ride are thinking of charging us OAPs £1 return fare but are consulting first. Think I'll complete the survey. Children under 16 will still be free as they are the future of our country - remember what the man said?!! 17 year olds are our future too but have to pay full fare! Lots of love to you all from N & G xx
ReplyDeleteGood to see you are up and running again with the blog - I really missed you! Glad you are all back together again and in the lovely house with a swimming pool, maybe you will be able to chill out for a while - my guess is it won't be for very long though as there will be things to see and do! Look forward to hearing about what you get up to next and more lovely photos. Love to you all, Grandma and Grandpa xx
ReplyDeleteJust a quick post to check that you are all okay and having a good time as haven't heard from you for a few days. I had a funny thing come up on the computer after my last comment saying something like "unable to action as not been updated". So hope I haven't missed anything! Also sent an email to Mum with Eve's news - she's going to be Mrs Engelbert! Hope Mum received it as don't think she will have had her mobile on to receive Eve's text. Hope you are having a great time - I'm sure you're not resting! Lots of love to you all from N & G xx
