Day 7

Hello,

Yesterday we had another easy day on the beach. Went to the supermarket at lunchtime which is the best time to go because it is too hot to be outside and they have air conditioning in the supermarket. After our time on the beach we went to another bar on the beach for a drink whilst Euan and I had an ice-cream. They have massive ice-creams here which are a bit like a cornetto. We then went back to the apartment for dinner and played cards in the evening which was lovely :)

Not much to report really but it was a lovely relaxing day.

This morning we have been at the bar that we were at last night to play cards whilst Mum did some work at the internet cafe. We met a lovely lady at the bar who was from Czech Republic and she taught us some new Greek words. We are struggling with the language here as it is very difficult because it is not similar to ours. Also most of the people speak English so it is very easy to be lazy!!

Thank you for the comments. Love Neve xx

  1. Whatever you are doing must be good for you - all looking so well and happy. I hadn't given much thought to the language, like everyone else I expect English to be spoken everywhere and it usually is, but picking up a few words is a good idea if only to be able to order such delights as massive ice creams, doughnuts and drinks! Who is winning all the card games? - Hope there's no cheating going on! Have fun, thank you for making time to keep us up to date. Lots of love to all, Grandma & Grandpa xxxx

  2. Grandma beat me to it today! I've been to my painting class this morning. Finished one masterpiece and started another!! You all look so well and relaxed - that Greek sunshine and sea air must be doing you a power of good. Bet you've never had such a relaxing holiday - certainly not better weather! Well done for learning a few words. I once went to a Greek class but hardly learnt anything - lovely tutor but he kept going off on a tangent - just as well I'm not holidaying in Greece! Lovely having a daily bulletin from you with photos. Enjoy the rest of today. Look forward to tomorrow's instalment. Lots of love N & G xx
