Hello again,
We treated ourselves this morning to breakfast out at a little place near to where we are staying. It was lovely.
We then went to a machine which dispensed raw, unpasteurised milk and shared a bottle between us - albeit reluctantly for me.
This afternoon we went up to Ljubljana castle which had a beautiful view over the city and explored that for a while. We then "treated" ourselves to lunch from a van!!
Then we hired mountain bikes and went around (and up!) Tivoli Park which was beautiful and it was nice to get away from the city life for a bit. We also got to use the first aid kit for the first time (antiseptic wipes and plaster) as Euan got a skid wrong!
We are now at the apartment about to have a picnic dinner in, then perhaps go out for a drink. We're trying to save our energy for an 8 hour journey to Budapest tomorrow!
Thanks for the comments. Neve xxx

Another adventurous day from the Walsh family - what must AR, respectable company that they probable are, think of you two outside the shop front showing off your derrière in public!! Hope your journey goes by quickly - plenty of chase the ace! Your kindles arrived today:)
ReplyDeleteWhat adventures you are having. Hope Euan smiled bravely when his skid went wrong! Hope also your ankle is fine now Neve. No more accidents please. I wouldn't have been very brave drinking that milk - I'm with you Neve! Hope that journey isn't too bad - I'm sure you'll find plenty to occupy you, or you can always catch up on your sleep as I'm sure the train terminates at Budapest. Loved the photos - you may not have been the first (or last) Brit to pose outside ARS if they are as observant as you or Dad!! What will you find next?! Stopcock man has been and very nice he was too - even fixed our outside tap that wasn't on his schedule. The sun is shining so Grandad and I are going out to the garden centre near Alice Holt for a look around and lunch - not from a van! Have fun. Lots of love N & G xx
ReplyDeleteHey I'm bringing up the rear today just like the two of you - are you being "cheeky"! You are obviously having a great time and coping well with all the travelling. I'm going out for lunch with Sheila and some other friends. Hope you enjoy the long journey, look forward to the next instalment and more lovely photos. Lots of love Grandma & Grandpa xx
