Day one in Ljubljana!

Hello again,

Had a very early morning today (5:10!) leaving Croatia. We had a last photo by the sea before catching the bus to Slovenia - not quite the size of bus we were expecting!

Euan and I were both very tired so rested our eyes for a bit which dad was keen to capture.

Trying to maintain our 5 fruit and veg a day (mum!!) we found someone who was BBQing corn on the cob which was very tasty.

When we arrived in Ljubljana we went on a free guided tour where we saw the main sites and found out a little bit about the history. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and it was great to get a feel for Ljubljana.

We were completely exhausted so went to our apartment for a little snooze - again dad was keen to capture this!

Then we went to a beer hall where we had the local beer.

Now sitting in a restaurant by the river about to have a meal thinking about another lovely day.

Thank you so much for the comments. Neve xxx

  1. I thought I did well with early mornings but you managed to get up even earlier than I do and looked good enough to be photographed - oh what it is to be young!!
I'm hoping to find time to read up on the places that you are visiting as I must admit I know very little about them - everywhere looks really clean and I'm sure I will find some interesting facts about the area. You seem to be enjoying the food and drinks and of course the ice creams - is that really beer that you are drinking? The photos are all lovely again - asleep or awake you still look good. Look forward to hearing from you soon, love to all of you, Grandma and Grandpa xxxx

  2. You've certainly packed it in and loving all the photographs especially the corn photo! You both look so cute asleep, well done Dad capturing the moments. We need a bus like that for the 32A then it might run a little more frequently! It's all go here - Dave the Plumber has been out to look at our leaking tap & I've taken Euan's library books back to Cheadle today. It's just stopped raining for the for the first time in 3 days so I'm off for a walk before it changes again! Tell Dad that the Copenhagen guys have come back and said yes! No sign of your kindles yet. Have a good next day xx

  3. So I'm bringing up the rear today! Lovely to hear from you again and see your photos - you certainly get around! It all looks so good and it's great to know that you are learning about the country whilst staying there - getting a geography and history lesson all in one - a bogof in fact! Well think I can go one better than Mum on the domestic front! Yesterday we had a different kitchen man (Carl) round and Shaun the gardener, today we went to Homebase and Halfords and tomorrow we have British Gas man coming to repair our stopcock!! Enjoy yourselves - look forward to the next instalment. Lots of love N & G xx
