Stockholm: Day 1

Hi, today we went into the centre of Stockholm which was nice but quite busy. First of all we went to a art museun and we had had an audio guide in English so we knew all about the paintings by the end. Then we had a quick snack and dashed of to the parliament building and had a tour round. It was very interesting and the ways they decide things is a lot different to the way we decide ours. After that we went to a national museum to have our packed lunch as again, the weather was very cold, about 2-4 degrees. In the afternoon the boys went to a medieval museum us girls went to a cafe called Rival which is owned by Benny from ABBA. It was very expensive but very nice. When me and Mum had finished in the cafe we went to look at where the ABBA museum is hopefully going to be. It was supposedhave been opened last summer but they hadn't got enough money so it doesn't look as if it will open for another few years is what a lady a tourist information said. Finally we went to have some dinner at a beer hall which was very different. Me and Euan shared cannelloni and Dad ate raindeer that he keeps calling Rudolph! Hopefully do another blog post tomorrow. Love Neve xxx

  1. Hi Neve, what a busy day and very interesting too,it looks to me like one of your best days especially so because you were able to get to some nice places out of the cold. I,m ignoring the fact that my son would eat Rudolph. Anyway I don't have much more to say apart from BOING! BOING! we're up. Love Grandma xxx

  2. Hi Neve - what a full day of sightseeing you had - glad you managed to get to Benny's cafe. Did I ever tell you that I saw him in the hotel where I was staying in New York?! Pity about the ABBA museum but there's always the one in London and the weather's probably better! I sat in the garden today with the sun shining. Just hope it continues next week so you can all get warmed up! Have a lovely day tomorrow - hope to hear all about it if you have time. My horse (State of Play) came third in the Grand National today. No winner for Grandad so I'll share my fortune (£5!)with him. Love Nanny x
