Stockholm: Day 2

Hi Today it was our last full day in Sweeden and my last blog post (boo hoo)! First of all we went to the Nobel museum which was really good because there was a little worksheet that me and Euan had. When we had answered all the questions we had to take it to the man to get it cheaked. Me and Euan got it all right so we both got a chocolate Nobel prize which is now in our bellies!!! When we had had our lunch we went to watch the guards change and we saw the band play. Then we went up a TV tower which is where most of the Swedish TV's get there signal from. there was a brilliant view and a nice little cafe. Finally we had an ice-cream and sat in the square which is a very cool place to sit. Stockholm: Day 1

Hi, today we went into the centre of Stockholm which was nice but quite busy. First of all we went to a art museun and we had had an audio guide in English so we knew all about the paintings by the end. Then we had a quick snack and dashed of to the parliament building and had a tour round. It was very interesting and the ways they decide things is a lot different to the way we decide ours. After that we went to a national museum to have our packed lunch as again, the weather was very cold, about 2-4 degrees. In the afternoon the boys went to a medieval museum us girls went to a cafe called Rival which is owned by Benny from ABBA. It was very expensive but very nice. When me and Mum had finished in the cafe we went to look at where the ABBA museum is hopefully going to be. It was supposedhave been opened last summer but they hadn't got enough money so it doesn't look as if it will open for another few years is what a lady a tourist information said. Finally we went to have some dinner at a beer hall which was very different. Me and Euan shared cannelloni and Dad ate raindeer that he keeps calling Rudolph! Hopefully do another blog post tomorrow. Travelling

Hi, thought I would do a quick blog post as I have some time to spare. Today mostly all we have been doing really is travelling but for dinner we have been to a pizza hut which was nice. I had some garlic bread then a normal marguerita pizza then a ice-cream. There is nothing really else to say. Thank you for your comments I did recieve them and again it really helped me to do this one. Hopefully I will be able to write again tomorrow but if not I will definately do one before we go back to maybe sunny England! Love Neve xxx

Last full day

Hi, yesterday we went to Nykoping on our bikes.. At first the weather was lovely so we decided to buy a fishing rod and some bait and go fishing. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! The weather suddenly went really cold so that I couldn't feel my fingers. After about 5-10 minutes we finished fishing, fish less and went back. We couldn't even put the fishing rod away because by this time me and Euan were in tears and we still had to cycle back so we decided to leave the fishing rod for somebody else. After we had had our packed lunch (at home) we had a wonderfull sauna which cheered us al up a lot. Then we went to look at this really pretty town by the sea. It was beautifull but me and Mum got really cold so we went to a really expensive tea room and I had a pot of sweets that I shared with Euan and then a mint hot chocolate which was very nice. Finally after some dinner I went to one of my friends house (Joanna whoo is the nice one!) for a play with Euan.

Unfortunately this is my last blog post for this house exchange so thank you for writing all your comments. I have read all of them everytime I cone to do a blog post. It really encouragess me to do them on the days that I really don't want to do it. Thanks again. Love Neve xxx

Lake Vattern and Vadstena

Hi I thought I should do a blog post this morning for yesterday as I couldn't fit one in because we got back quite late last night.

Yesterday, in the morning I made some Swedish friends called Julia, Regina and Joanna. Joanna was my favourite because she was very kind and translated everything the other girls said into English. I had already met Julia on the first day but it was nice to see her again.

In the afternoon we went to a Lake called Lake Vattern which was partly frozern over and then went on the look at the city which to us in England would be like a town or possibly a village. It was very quite so there were hardly any people or cars around. Finaly just before we went home to a sauna and unfortunately a cold Jacuzzi bath, we went for a play in the park which was quite good fun. I should hope to do a post tonight but if not I will do one in the morning. Neve x

Vasa Museum and Stockholm

This post is for yesterday as I didn't have enough time as we got back quite late.

First of all we went to the vasa museum in Stockholm (picture above to the left) and had a guided tour in English which was very good. The vasa ship was a army boat that sank over 300 years ago and then was found about 30 years ago and brought to the vasa museum in Stockholm. Then after we had been to the museum and had some lunch we wandered round Stockholm itself which was very interesting but very tiring at the same time. Then we went for a pizza which was absolutely massive but very yummy! Finally after a long day we went back home and had a lovely sauna.

Swimming and puzzles to solve

Today we went swimming which was a lot of fun. Me and Euan went down both of the slides that were there. Then we had some lunch at home and then went to a place called Boda Borg (picture above) which was a place where there were lots of puzzles and we all had lots of fun. I might not be able write a blog post tomorrow because we are going to Stockholm for the day. Speak agian soon. Neve x

What a morning!

Hi this is Euan. I woke up this morning and Neve showed me all the snow that had fallen last night. I was very suprised at how much there was. It was forcasting rain before but insteead it turned out to be snow. Love Euan xxxxx

Today we went on another bike ride after doing our usual easter egg hunt. We cycled to a beach but when we got there it turned out the sea had frozen over so we couldn't go for a paddle!!! It looked absolutely beautiful. When we were on our way back we stopped of a a small town and had a drink and I had a giant cookie!!! After that we went to a sculpture park which was very interesting so that picture of the man with his head in the ground is not an actual man, don't worry! Finally we went to the park which was lots of fun. I will update you with more news tomorrow. Neve x

First day
