A walk in Cassis then a lie on the beach!

Hello!

Today we went to Cassis again but today we went on a walk which lead us to a lovely beach. On the beach we ate our lunch and read our books which was really relaxing. Then dad and I swam in the sea whilst Mum had a paddle. The sea was really nice and blue and it was really nice and warm. We then went to a lovely cafe that looked out on the beach where I had a mint lemonade which I had tried before on the French exchange. The picture below is of me drinking it. We had another lovely day today and thank you for the comment again.

Today - Marseille

Hello again!

Today the weather was not supposed to be too good so we decided to visit some of the local attractions (In the end the weather was lovely though!). First we visited a place called Notre-Dame de la Garde which is a cathedral that has a really good view of Marseille, the old port and the sea. We then had some lunch and I had a crepe for dessert! We then went on to a modern art gallery by the port and we saw some really interesting art/sculptures aswell as a painting of cassis which is the place we visited the other day. After this it was still nice and warm so we sat out and had a drink and then we then went to a bar where we had tapas which we had also been to yesterday. We had a lovely day. Yesterday - Cezanne

Hello!

Yesterday we went to the place where Cezanne grew up and painted. Our day didn't go as we planned it because a lot of things are closed on a Monday but we still had a good time. We followed a walk which took us past places that were relevant to Cezanne but we didn't finish it. We then went to the studio that Cezanne had built for him and got to see some of the objects that were in his famous paintings like a green and brown jug and a rug. It was really fascinating! I will now write about the day we had today on another blog post.

Today - Casisse

Hello again :)

Today we went to a nice seaside place called Casisse. We sat on the beach for a while even thought it was quite cool but it was still nice and relaxing. Then Mum and I went for a paddle in the sea which wasn't as cold as I thought it would be! Then we walked into the town and I had an ice cream. We have just come back to the appartment for a bit and then we are going to go back to the old port for some dinner which will be lovely.

First day in Marseille

Hello :)

I didn't have time yesterday to write a blog post yesterday so I am going to do 2 today.

During the day we went and looked at Marseille and went down to the old port where we saw a a couple that had just got married. In Marseille we had lunch at a nice resturant where we could see out onto the city. At one point an organ was playing which was lovely!

In the evening dad and I wnt to a football match where Marseille were playing the team that we watched Lyon play last holiday. At the game there was a protest going on because Marseille are not doing as well as they should be in the league. The fans did not sing or cheer the team to show they were they even booed the team/ players onto the pitch which me and dad found surprising! In the end they did win 2-0 and the fans did cheer when they scored.

We had a lovely day and really got a feel for Marseille.
