Biking the Archipelago.
Hello again,
I've finally had the time to do another blog so I guess this one might be a touch bulky.
The day we set of was the 7th and we woke up with no idea what we were doing that day but in two hours time we, well I say we (Mum), had planed the next 3 days of the holiday we were going to the Archipelago! We set off at roughly nine, and when we got there we checked into the hotel, ate the complimentary sweets and went downstairs to hire the bikes. Having had a horrible bite Mum became addicted to bite spray so needles to say we stank as we cycled to the recommended view (pictured in Dads photo post.) We finished the night with a meal on a moored ship, which even had a mini disco! Although we didn't use it in the end.
The next day we set off on another bike ride this time to a ferry Dad had found. Getting there became a bit of a rush as the ferry time table changed every day. However, we made it in the end and we were a bit surprised when he told us where he was dropping us off rather than asking where we were going! Although no where near as surprised as I was when Dad told me not to put out the deck chairs. Bumpy, was a touch of an understatement! We then cycled back to the hotel and drove down to a place where we had a really nice meal by the sea and I took some photos of Kids jumping of a peer.
The next day we drove to a port and caught a ferry to another island with another great place to eat on it we didn't do much but it was quite nice to have a rest before driving home.

From Russia With Love!
Well not really from Russia, we're back now but never mind. Feels along time ago but I'll start at the beginning.
We arrived at Finland station in St. Petersburg (the same place Lenin arrived in 1917) at about 1 pm due to vigorous passport and visa checks taking about an hour on the train. When we arrived we decided it best to go on a boat tour around the beautiful city of St. Petersburg it was very dangerous at some points with live wires hanging from bridges and a chance to be knocked out if you stood up.
The next morning we got up and after a not great Marriott breakfast and went on a great walking tour the guide adjusted the tour to the audience and we had great fun seeing all the back alleys and learning about everything from communal flats to the murder of Rasputin. This really gave us an inside view on St. Petersberg and we ended the day doing a bit of a cafe crawl in which I mistakenly asked for a glass of lemon juice!
On our final day in St. Petersburg we went to the Peter and Paul fortress and climbed the spire as high as allowed. We also visited the Winter palace/Hermitage which was quite interesting we even spotted a Van Gogh of the place we stayed in France (first picture bellow.) As a reward for all the museumy stuff mum payed for me to have a go on a swegway outside The Hermitage. However me and mum were more interested in the state rooms and the history of the Tzars involved with the place. Although possibly the most interesting part of the day was when I almost mistakenly bought a Russian doll for 15,000 rubles which i thought was £15 but was actually £150.
We are off again for the next few days cycling around the archipelago!

Just When You Thought There Wasn't Going To Be One
Hello from Finland!
Been very busy and tired on our first couple of days so didn't get round to doing the blog but from now on (excluding the next three days when I probably won't be able to) I will try to be consistent.
I will start at the beginning we flew out on the 30th and landed at about 10 o'clock their time (8 o'clock English time) and after a quick look round the house went for a walk in our local park. We discovered a DiscGolf Park which was free! DiscGolf is like golf but you throw Frisbees instead and you play it on rough terrain. Luckily the people we exchanged with had a couple of Frisbees and so me and Dad had a go. When we came back we had a nice sauna and went to bed. I slept well, Mum and Dad however woke up at 2 am as their curtains couldn't close and their windows faced the sun!
Yesterday we went out and did what our exchangees described as a must do it was a beautiful lake with some rowing boats you could use. For free! so naturally we had a go and avoided capsizing so it was better than I expected. When we got back to dry land we asked the life guard if the was a walk we could do she said yes we asked how long it was she said short but we did it anyway. The walk was probably 400m long so we went home and me and Dad played DiscGolf again which was fun. Oh and I discovered how to sort out Mum and Dads sun problem.
Today we went to a national park and did a beautiful walk around the lake we got a bit lost but luckily we got back on track and i took some nice photos we are going to be having a sauna to night before packing for St. Petersberg which we leave for early tomorrow.

Prague!
Hello (for the last time sorry!),
Didn't post yesterday - we had a day of doing not much as it was our last day in the house. We did pop down to Decin for the last time and got the inside tickets so we could do the water slides as well as swim.
Today, we got up early and cleaned the house before making our way to Prague so we are closer to the airport tomorrow. When we arrived we had a cheeky Starbucks which was lovely before going to the appartment we are staying in - absolutely lovely!
We then had a spot of lunch before heading to the boat tour. We went on a one hour boat tour on the river giving us a great view of all the sites as we don't have long so we're making the most of it. It was great but very hot (according to the lady at the reception these are the hottest days ever recorded for the Czech Republic with Saturday being the hottest!). We also went on the famous bridge in Prague - Charles Bridge which was beautiful.
Done the blog a bit earlier today as we are heading out for cocktails up the TV Tower (dubbed as the second ugliest building in Prague!!, to a bierkeller and then for a meal. We're completing our fabulous holiday in style!
Tomorrow we are squeezing in a segway tour of Prague and a few more sites before catching our flight back to the UK so don't think I will be able to manage another post :(
