Just Time To Squeeze One In
Hi for the last time, today we depart at 4 o'clock from Helsinki airport hopefully me and Dad can squeeze in a game of DiscGolf before we leave but we may not as we are both shattered from staying up last night to watch the Team pursuit in the Olympics.
Yesterday we did go up to the national park and cook sausages and burgers over the fire. Which meant we needed wood and that was my job. I sawed the wood to get smaller pieces before chopping it into smaller pieces with the axe, which was amazing fun! We actually managed to buy frankfurters and frankfurter meat burgers much to Dads annoyance who doesn't like frankfurters!
Thanks for reading the blog and all the comments.
See you next holiday

And on the 10th Day they Rested
Last full day today :( but hopefully we should be making the most of it. Going of to the national park where we got lost a few days ago and building a fire to cook on might not have time to blog so I thought I'd fill you in.
Yesterday was a bit of a rest day with us going for a short walk through a nearby national park. We scrambling up some big rocks and Mum asked Dad for a hand down but instead shoved him down the rock! We finished the day watching the Olympics until 1 am our time!
Thanks for the comments on the blog I'll see you next holiday!

Walshes Take Gold in Helsinki Triathlon
Hello again!
Yesterday we went to Helsinki it was great fun and we even swam in an Olympic pool. We drove to our local train station and arrived at Helsinki at about 9:30, got on the city bikes and rode over to a coffee shop by the orthodox church. Two small cappuccinos and a hot chocolate for £11! We then rode over to the Lutheran Church had a photo and rode over to a market where we had lunch. We all ended up having Korean food! Next we cycled to the 1952 Olympic Park where we swam in the OUTDOOR pool! Although it was heated getting out wasn't pleasant in fact was unpleasant enough for me to have a naked sauna! When we went in the man by the water bucket began throwing water on this resulted in about a third of the people in the sauna having to leave because of the heat. Dad thinks it was because we were English and he wanted to see if we could take the heat! However eventually I had to get out because of how hot it got in there. Finally we rode back over to where we had the drinks at the start of the day and had a drink before heading back here.
PS It was a triathlon as we cycled around, swam in the Olympic pool and walked about 4k round and about!

Biking the Archipelago.
Hello again,
I've finally had the time to do another blog so I guess this one might be a touch bulky.
The day we set of was the 7th and we woke up with no idea what we were doing that day but in two hours time we, well I say we (Mum), had planed the next 3 days of the holiday we were going to the Archipelago! We set off at roughly nine, and when we got there we checked into the hotel, ate the complimentary sweets and went downstairs to hire the bikes. Having had a horrible bite Mum became addicted to bite spray so needles to say we stank as we cycled to the recommended view (pictured in Dads photo post.) We finished the night with a meal on a moored ship, which even had a mini disco! Although we didn't use it in the end.
The next day we set off on another bike ride this time to a ferry Dad had found. Getting there became a bit of a rush as the ferry time table changed every day. However, we made it in the end and we were a bit surprised when he told us where he was dropping us off rather than asking where we were going! Although no where near as surprised as I was when Dad told me not to put out the deck chairs. Bumpy, was a touch of an understatement! We then cycled back to the hotel and drove down to a place where we had a really nice meal by the sea and I took some photos of Kids jumping of a peer.
The next day we drove to a port and caught a ferry to another island with another great place to eat on it we didn't do much but it was quite nice to have a rest before driving home.
